Representative Annie Menz represents House District 45, covering East Norman and Lake Thunderbird. In 2022, Rep. Menz became the first Latina elected to the Oklahoma House of Representatives, and the first Woman Veteran elected to the Oklahoma Legislature in state history.

As your Representative at the State House here are the pieces of legislation that Rep. Menz has supported.

  • Eliminating the state's portion of grocery sales tax, the largest tax cut in state history for working families.

  • Allow resentencing for incarcerated survivors of domestic violence

  • Provide state-issued identification for unhoused youth

  • Funding maintenance of Higher Education facilities in need of repair

  • Funding a mental health workforce education pilot program

  • Easing bond restrictions upon tattoo and body piercing businesses

  • Expanding Oklahoma's Promise scholarships to kids in DHS custody

  • Banning discriminatory restrictive housing covenants 

  • Granting Medicaid health coverage to kids in DHS custody

  • Creating the Sexual Assault Forensic Evidence Board

  • Increased funding for the J.D. McCarty Center provides specialized medical care, therapy services, and support programs for children with developmental disabilities across Oklahoma.
